Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information PinMaker HQ (“we”, “us”) collects when you use pinmakerhq.com (the “Site”), how we use it and the choices you have. We’ve written it to be short and clear.

The short version

  • Your photos never leave your browser. Photos you upload, paste or drop into the pin maker are processed on your own device. We never receive or store them.
  • You don’t need an account.
  • We keep as little as possible. We keep a short-lived counter to stop abuse of our free tools, and normal server logs.

Information we process

Photos and pins you create

The pin maker runs in your browser. Photos you add and the pins you design are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers. When you download a pin, the file is created on your device.

Blog links you import

If you use “Start from your blog post”, the link you paste is sent to our server. Our server visits that public page to find its title and images, then sends them back to your browser. When you add one of those images, our server fetches it and passes it to your browser so it can be used in your pin. We don’t store the page, the images or the link after your request is complete.

Only import content you own or have permission to use.

Usage limits

To keep the free tools available for everyone, we limit how many blog-link imports and image imports each visitor can make per day. To do this we keep a counter linked to a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. The counter is deleted automatically after 24 hours. We don’t use it for anything else.

Brand settings saved in your browser

If you click “Save as my brand”, your site name, colors, font and layout are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. We can’t see them. Click “Forget saved brand”, or clear your browser’s site data, to delete them.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. We use these logs to keep the Site secure and working, and they are deleted on a regular schedule.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.

Third-party services

  • Google Fonts. The pin maker loads fonts from Google’s servers so your pins look right. Your browser connects to Google to download them, which shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting. The Site is hosted on servers provided by our hosting company, which processes data on our behalf.
  • Advertising. We may show ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law, we’ll ask for your consent before these cookies are used.
  • Analytics. If we add website analytics, we’ll update this policy and our Cookie Policy first.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies and similar technologies.

How long we keep information

  • Usage-limit counters: up to 24 hours.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period for security, then deleted.
  • Emails you send us: as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of our conversation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Because we collect so little, there is usually very little to provide. To make a request, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We do not sell your personal information.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change, for example when we add new tools or accounts, and change the date at the top.
